Black Friday guitar shopping tips
If you are excited for Black Friday and hoping to grab a great deal on a guitar, then here are some tips to make sure you get the best deals:
Make a list early
Think about what guitar and/or accessories you really want to buy. Make a list so you know exactly what to look for when the deals start going live. This can save time and help you avoid getting things you don't really need.
Know what you need
Take a look at your guitar collection. Think about the brands you love and what you'll actually use. Don't spend money on things you won't play or use. If you're not sure, maybe check out guides on good guitars for different budgets.
Think about your goals
What do you want to do with your music in the next year? Do you want to join a band, write songs, or play at shows? Think about the gear that can help you reach these goals and focus on getting a good deal on that during the Black Friday sales.
Clear out your old gear
If there's stuff you don't use anymore, maybe it's time to sell it. Not only will this make space for new things, but you can also use the money you make to buy something new on Black Friday.
Sign up to mailing lists
Sign up for emails from your favorite guitar shops now. They might send special deals or early sale notices to people on their email list. This way, you'll be one of the first to know about awesome deals.
Remember, Black Friday is a great time to save money, but it's also important to buy things you'll really use and love. Plan ahead, be smart and happy shopping!
When is Black Friday?
Black Friday 2023 is on Friday, November 24th. It's the day after Thanksgiving in the US and a great time to shop for gifts, especially with Christmas just around the corner. But the deals aren't just on Black Friday! They continue through the weekend, known as "Cyber Weekend," and end on Cyber Monday, which is on November 27th.
But here's a tip: Don't just wait for those days! Many fantastic guitar deals pop up in the weeks leading up to Black Friday. Some deals even start as early as mid-October. And guess what? Many of these great offers last right up until Christmas Day.
So, if you're hoping to grab a great guitar deal, stay alert. Check your favorite guitar shops often because they might have surprise sales at any time, day or night. And don't forget to check back here too. We'll be searching for the best guitar deals to share with you.
What Black Friday guitar deals should I expect?
We've got our fingers on the pulse and will be monitoring leading guitar retailers in the lead-up to Black Friday to bring you the best deals on this page.
Last year, standout deals were seen at both Musician's Friend and Guitar Center, who offered fantastic savings on a wide range of products, from electric and acoustic guitars to audio interfaces, guitar amps, effects pedals, and other must-have guitar accessories.
In 2022, Guitar Center featured exceptional offers on the highly sought-after Fender Player Series Stratocaster. Meanwhile, Musician's Friend had unbeatable deals on top-tier metal guitars and premium valve combos. Given these trends, we're anticipating some equally exciting, if not better, offers from these retailers this year.
Home recording aficionados should also keep an eye on Positive Grid. They made waves last year by slashing prices on their BIAS FX 2 and AMP 2 software by a whopping 50%. We're eager to see if they'll repeat or even top that this year.
Pedal enthusiasts, you're in for a treat! Based on previous Black Friday sales, we're anticipating significant discounts on popular brands like Boss, JHS, Line 6, MXR and Digitech.
We've been tracking Black Friday guitar deals for years, and our expertise ensures we won't miss a beat. Trust us to seek out the best deals on all the guitar gear you're dreaming of and bring them straight to you.
